Honey and Beeswax – Cold Process Soap

Hello soapers!

I made a soap (cold process) last week with local honey and beeswax. It was the first time I made soap with so much honey (3 teaspoons of honey in 1.5kg of oils – see what the honey did to my soap in the pictures below!).

Honey and Beeswax Soap

Cold process soap with honey and beeswax
– Olive oil 35%
– Palm oil 30%
– Coconut oil 20%
– Almond oil 8%
– Castor oil 5%
-Beeswax 2%
-3 teaspoons of honey in 1.5kg of oils (1 teaspoon of honey for 0.5kg of oils)

I added the honey mixed with some water (about 3 tablepoons of water) when the batch had reached trace.

It was pretty cool to see my soap gel (in the video I only have a picture of partial gel but it gelled all the way). I had never made a soap that gelled the way this one did and I was pretty freaked out when I went to check on my soap 1 hour after it was poured and I saw my soap like this:

Here is my video making the soap:

Hey, I am still beginning to make videos! I know I still have alot to improve but for now this is what I have 🙂 I promise they will get better! haha

If you are interested in my acrylic soap mold, I designed it and made it and I can make more if you are interested!

and I will give you more information.

Thank you Nuno Lean (https://www.youtube.com/user/Melvoa) for the remix Parfume de Patchouli 🙂

Take care,
